Pool Day!

Today it started our first week in Florida. Since we are here, we only had been with our host families doing lots of things and only had been to class one day, which was basically to check our level of English and to make a tour around Polk State College.

We met with our leaders (Father Nick and Edu) at 8:15 at the Lakeland's Polk State College and we took our super awesome van to go to Winter Haven's campus (where we actually have our lessons). There we have a teacher that helps us with our speaking and another that focuses more on our grammar. They're both really funny and the lessons are really interesting.

After 3 hours in the campus, we went to have lunch at McDonald's (we're turning into real american people!!!!). We went there because it was pretty close to the pool where we would go later.

In the pool we could swim, play and jump from really high springboards. After some time around, we decided to change our clothes and have a drink at a Starbucks.

Finally we went back to the meeting point and each of our families came to pick us up and take us home. It was a great day, so I hope tomorrow we'll have more fun together!!

Natalia.
