Happy 4th of July!!!

This Friday was a big day here in the States, the 4th of July, the day in which americans celebrate the moment they became independent from the UK.

There is a lot going on and we did some special things with our families, like going on a trip for the whole weekend, going to the beach or to a theme park or simply having a great BBQ and enjoying the typical fireworks.

It's a day where everywhere you go is full of american flags and everything is red, white and blue (the colors of America) and a lot of people in the streets wears T-shirts with the american flag.

It was a very beautiful day and we enjoyed a lot.

Hello families!!!

First post of the blog after two days in Florida. Let us start by saying that the flights went really well!! It took us 10 hours to go from Barcelona to Atlanta but we killed time watching movies, sleeping, listening to music or chatting with our friends. When we arrived to Atlanta we crossed the US Border and then we had to run in order not to miss our flight to Orlando… We felt like the guy in "Solo en casa" running across the airport, but we finally took the flight and arrived safely to our final destination.

In Orlando our families were waiting for us. They seemed really nice and lovely and some of them even had banners with our names. So after meeting them, they took us to our new homes and as soon as we arrived we went to sleep because we were exhausted.

Yesterday we had the day off to be with our families and to get to know them better. Some of us went to the mall and to the movies, others went to the beach and others just met the rest of their host families and did a lot of speaking!!!!

We're really looking forward to see new places, meet more new and friendly people, do a lot of things and, of course, live the American Life!!! We'll keep you updated!!
